Open to riders 11 years old and under who have not shown over fences prior to January 1, 2010 except at beginner schooling levels (cavaletti is not considered a fence). Champion and Reserve Champion prizes donated by Tenk Machine and Tool Company. Best Turned Out Class prize sponsored by Phil Hauser - Sterling Mutuals Inc.

Lineup

  • Walk, Trot: judged as equitation
  • Walk, Trot, Canter: judged as hack
  • Walk, Trot, Canter: judged as equitation
  • Command Class: walk, trot, canter, halt and rein back may be requested
  • Handy Hunter: obstacles, walk, trot, canter
  • Hunter Over Fences
  • Equitation Over Fences

Junior Champion and Reserve Champion Award Presentation

Fences will begin as cross rails, however as the season progresses they may be raised to challenge the competitors. Fence heights will not exceed 1'0".

Riders entered in beginner divisions will not be permitted to enter other divisions.

Equitation riders will ride back for their ribbon. Riders over fences will jog their mounts past the judge for soundness. Any rider under 18 years of age must wear a regulation helmet when jogging a horse/pony into the ring for a ribbon.

Martingales and safety vests will be allowed in all beginner classes.

ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR A REGULATION HELMET WHILE MOUNTED ON THE SHOW GROUNDS.
