Ring 1: Beginner Rider

Starting Time 9:00 a.m. sharp

 

  Hopeful Hunter Division

A walk-trot division open to riders of all ages who have never competed over fences prior to January 1st 2008. Competitors may be lead in all classes but may not enter into any other division. Champion and Reserve Champion prizes donated by Tenk Machine and Tool Company.

  1. Lead line: walk only
  2. Walk, trot (judged as hack)
  3. Walk, trot (judged as equitation)

Jr. Beginner Rider Division: 11 years old and under as of January 1, 2008

Open to riders 11 years old and under who have not shown over fences prior to January 1, 2008, except at beginner schooling levels (cavaletti is not considered a fence). Champion and Reserve Champion prizes donated by Tenk Machine and Tool Company.

  1. Walk, Trot: judged as equitation
  2. Walk, Trot, canter: judged as hack
  3. Walk, Trot, Canter: judged as equitation
  4. Command Class: walk, trot, canter, halt, and rein back may be requested
  5. Handy Hunter: obstacles, walk, trot, canter
  6. Hunter Over Fences
  7. Equitation Over Fences

Junior Best Turned Out Award Presentation

Fences will begin as cross rails however as the season progresses they may be raised to challenge the competitors. Fence heights will not exceed 1'0".

 

Sr. Beginner Rider Division: 12 years old and over as of January 1, 2008

Open to all riders 12 years old and over who have not shown over fences prior to January 1, 2008, except at beginner schooling levels. Champion and Reserve Champion prizes donated by Taymor Farm.

Riders entered in beginner divisions will not be permitted to enter other divisions.

Equitation riders will ride back in for their ribbon. Riders over fences will jog their mounts past the judge for soundness. Any rider under 18 years of age must wear a regulation helmet when jogging a horse/pony into the ring for a ribbon. Martingales and safety vests will be allowed in all beginner classes.

ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR A REGULATION HELMET WHILE MOUNTED ON THE SHOW GROUNDS.

 

Ring 2: Intermediate/Open Ring

Starting Time 9:00 a.m. sharp

 

Intermediate Rider Division

The Intermediate Rider Division is open to all riders who have not shown CEF permit, Trillium, or "A" circuit shows prior to January 1, 2008. Fence height will be 2'0" for ponies and 2'3" for horses max. All shows will begin with horses (2"3") first. Champion and Reserve Champion prizes donated by Tenk Machine and Tool Company.

  5. Equitation on the Flat

Intermediate Rider Champion and Reserve Champion Award Presentation

Karlynn Equestrian Hunter Classic: $10.00 entry fee

Fences will be no higher than 2'3" and will be judged over 2 rounds. The top eight riders from the first round will be called back for a shortened second round in reverse order. The champion of the Karlynn Equestrian Hunter Classic will receive a Karlynn Equestrian Hunter Classic Champion saddle pad and matching BR front boots generously donated by Karlynn Equestrian Supplies "where it is affordable to pamper your horse".

 

Open Division

The open division is open to all. Riders must indicate upon registration which fence height they will be jumping (2'3" or 2'6").  Champion and Reserve Champion prizes donated by Tenk Machine and Tool Company.
